My Choice_Christmas - Brian Cefai: Adeste Fideles

This is a brilliant performance of Adeste Fideles (Come all Ye Faithful) performed by the Amadeus Chamber Choir & Orchestra under the direction of our own Maltese Maestro, Brian Cefai.

The concert was held at St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta but we are showing video clips taken at the Mosta Church on Christmas Night by Jasmine.

MAESTRO BRIAN CEFAI

Brian Cefai is one of the few Maltese leading soloists who gained recognition for his talents not only in Malta but also overseas. He studied with Maltese and foreign voice coaches and in 1984 was presented with the Accademia Del Mediterraneo Award, after which he completed a three-year course with his Bulgarian tutor Blagovesta Karnobatlova Dobreva.

He is also a tenor and is the only Maltese tenor who has obtained a Fellowship in Singing, a fellowship he achieved with Honours. Brian Cefai founded the Amadeus Chamber Choir and has been its director ever since. He is one of the few musicians in Malta who has established himself not only as a tenor but also as a conductor. He also sang at the royal Academy of Music (with Derek Hammond Stroud) and conducted at Warwick University (with Sir Colin Touchin).
