CNN Irony - Mumbai Terror Attack Coverage and Incredible India Commercial

We were watching CNN's coverage of the Nov. 26th terror attacks in Mumbai, India when they decided to go to commercial break. No joke - their coverage was followed by a tourism commercial for "Incredible India."

Amazingly bad timing. Ouch.

What's wrong with that...India is still a beautiful country...people still need to survive...Jews would have done the same thing...come on!!! These people rely on tourism to pay for food and shelter for their families.

No we do not rely on tourism to pay for food and shelter for our families. Do some research on the Indian economy pls.. and this commercial was not about touring India.. it was about the protection of the wild.

so? did US become any less incredible after 9/11? India was a victim of terrorism and of all people one would think Americans would understand.. besides - the commercial was not about touring India, it was about the Wild and that we must cherish and protect it.

If one is afraid to go to a country just because it got attacked by terrorists, then I am sorry to say this, but the terrorists have won. If CNN is showing this ad right after the news of the terror attack, then I would like to praise them, for standing by India. Did we stop living in the US or stop going to the New York after 9/11? Both the US and India were the victims not the perpetrator. So why desert them? We've to conquer the terror within us first before we can beat ones outside.

I believe that that is the best time for the commercial to come as it reminds the world that India is a country that is so vibrant and free that it would overcome the problem of these Islamic radicals.

horde of news channels in India. each one trying to get on to that TRP. For instance, take Varun Gandhi episode. All those news channels claim it to be a BJP agenda. But I never saw any BJP leaders ever making remarks on it -- and when Advani in a press conference spoke abt money in swiss bank and concern of black money etc.. The new channels were disheartened that he didnt say anything abt Varun Gandhi.

CNN IBN is equally worst, off late its a minority and paki appeasing channel, trying to convert India into a Communist state along with NDTV.
