you for got to mention 2 people setting it up, plus the chairs look horrible you should of moved them in your extra time.

What everyone else said. This isn't start to finish in under 8 mins because you had some of it set up. Like someone said, what if you had to do an event that was up some stairs or through doorways or hallways that weren't very wide? Sure, "most" events will be accessible like this but what about the ones that aren't? This is great if you can do it regularly but you did have some of it set up beforehand. This isn't a "typical" settup. I'm sure it works for you though. Good for you.

It's not true , you had lights already on the truss and truss was put together sound just set up just minor conections needed

So.....
what about if it's not on the same floor as the car park?

lollll if i just left my rig all up and shoved it in a van/trailer of course it would take 8 minutes... would just have to plug power and dmx in!

u didnt have to munt the speakers, plug them in, or really anything, every bit of ur stuff was rolled in on a cart, a few minor connections, and u were good to go. and btw, ur a genius for putting aeverything on a cart, now im gonna find a way to do that nextime i got a gig! thx

yea yeaa you socck
with 1 person it takes 12 minutes. I had a video of that too some where, but can't seem to find it. This is my typical school dance rig. I have a different trailer and setup for weddings, and again for large events. We have 3 trailers, 3 different setups. It is true that this setup is not practical for other events.
ALL OF THE LIGHTS STAY MOUNTED TO THE TRUSS IN THE TRAILER. The truss sits upright on its own wheels and rolls in and then cranks up.

i only use this setup when we have a school event that only has 1 or two steps or less... the truss legs have there own base plates that have wheels... the speakers being flown from the truss do not generate any vibrations due to the fact they are in hi-pass... there are two double 18" turbosound subs in the middle...

I made it dark on purpose... Didn't want a ton of detail for people to see how it is actually done... Plan on patenting the truss system someday and selling pre-built rigs...

Lights always stay pre-assembled. I designed and built the trussing this way. It goes into the trailer, gets wheeled in on its own wheels, and cranks right up after you mount the speakers to the rigging that is built in. It only takes 10 minutes for 1 person to do it...
