Earthquake in Van, Turkey - 7.2 quake 23/10/2011
Turkey - A large earthquake hit Van Province in eastern Turkey on Sunday. The exact extent of the damage remains unclear but it is reported that the village of Ercis has seen a number of buildings collapse. The mayor of the town was quoted as saying, "There are so many dead. Several buildings have collapsed. There is too much destruction. We need urgent aid. We need medics." Both the United States Geological Survey and the Turkish National Earthquake Monitoring Centre have reported the magnitude of the earthquake as 7.2. The Turkish Kandilli Research Institute has estimated the death toll could be in the range of 500 to 1,000.


Of the earthquake area: 2398 search and rescue personnel, 680 health staff, 2 military cargo plane, 12 search dogs, 7 air ambulance, 108 ambulance, 30 generators, 6377 tents, 1888 blankets, 1120 food package, 10064 food parcel, 3812 stove, 425 sleeping bag, been sent.

Already there has been alot of international aid offered to Turkey. Unlike when Pakistan had their big floods earlier in the year, there was a poor turnout of aid offered from the world. That's because those fucking Paki's haboured Bin Laden for years and played dumb when the Yanks found him. Since then nobody gives a fuck about Pakistan and looks at them as a traitor sponging of billions of American dollars to fight terrorism. What goes around comes around!

Im kurdish but im also honoured when someone calls me a turk. My kurdish ancastors came from mogolia too (Turkmenistan) So it doesnt matter wrether turk or kurd its all the same shit.
