Here's a demo of the Galaxy 2547 CB radio. AM, SSB. No FM. Upper's and Downer's, Freq counter, variable power (2-8 watts deadkey) full featured CB radio Base Station. This one was bought on Ebay, like new condition, but did have some shipping damage. I hate bad Ebay packers. Anyway, a very good performing radio, works great, but I'm just partial to TUBE audio.

  • Ooooo a 6 digit freq display. nice!!

  • kinda starting to grow on me. I am now using this as my bench test rig. I like the : 6 digit counter, unlocked tx clarifier (selectable), variable power/dial-a-watt, automatic calibrating SWR meter. I still prefer the receive and tx of the other hi-end radio's though for real talking.

  • it's really not good to keep a radio of any kind keyed that long

  • I disagree. As long as a final is not overdriven, overvolted, and running into a good match, it may be keyed down for days. Most blown finals are due to people peaking the final for max output. Most finals are 4 watts and are not made to key at 6-10 watts. This radio was dialed down and keying into a dummy load. I currently own about 250 radios and have owned/sold about 1000. I have never blown a final, but have received many with finals already blown due to previously mentioned problems.

  • @tramdr I agree with you.People think without research and they listen to others and they base their theories on that.

  • People say Galaxy SSB radios drift a lot. Is this true?

  • Why didnt Galaxy just go the whole hog and make it 25-30Mhz all mode? is this radio newer than the Saturn? the radio looks nice but i bet it doesnt sell as well as the other bases from the same stable .
