@AmberDBG give her a kiss and I tell her I love her and will see her in the morning. Then I walk out of the room and she goes straight to sleep. We still have this routine and it is RARE that she cries. Normally she only cries if she's been up too long and is over-tired or if she isn't feeling well. We do the same routine for naptime and it works! I plan to do the same with Jo when I feel she is ready. :o) We can talk more about it when yall come over. I can show you how I do it.

@AmberDBG hear her as well. It broke my heart!!! But you know what, only took her 1 hour with me NOT going in to pat her back. 3rd night took 50 minutes, 4th night took 40 minutes, 5th night took 30 minutes and it just got shorter and shorter from there. After 2 weeks of crying it out, we had a routine....Every night we read a book, turn the lights down low, watch carebears while she drinks her milk (used to nurse), put her in the crib, turn on her sea horse, cover her up say night..cont..

@AmberDBG Every baby is different but for Gigi the first 5 days were pretttyyy rough. She was used to nursing herself to sleep and never took a pacifier. Before transitioner her, I got her that magical seahorse and that was her security "thing". lol! The first night I let her cry and went in to pat her back every 15 minutes....It took her 3 hours to go to sleep. The second night I let her cry without going in. This is gonna sound REALLY bad but I turned the monitor on low so I couldn't..cont..

@AmberDBG Chloe is 2 now and I still check on her sometimes! I don't think it ever goes away lol but it gets better... I don't think there is anything wrong with co-sleeping when they are young :) I found it comforting
We have the same co sleeper!!!! Got it at a thrift store for $15. lol! Jo used it for the first month and now she has to be face to face with me so I don't use it anymore. Gigi never used a co sleeper. I put G in her own bed at 8 months old and did cry it out for 2 weeks. It was rough but definately worth it. I say as long as both you and him are happy, keep doin it! G started kickin me all night and I was pregnant with Jo so I felt it was better for her to go to her bed. :)

@TabMcgee Yea it has worked out great so far but I would really like to get him out of the bed with us by the time he is one... He's getting bigger now and has complete control of his neck so I dont worry about him sleeping by himself as much any more. I just really dread the crying. It is so hard for me and even harder for Tim to let him cry it out with anything. Any advice on that?? How did you cope and do it?

My daughter is 8 1/2 months old and I have just started having her sleep in her crib. It is just so much easier to have her next to me, especially when I am breastfeeding. She is now hogging the bed because she has recently decided she preferes to sleep on her tummy so I have now moved her to her crib, and it is nice to have her out of the bed now too:-)

@sunietatum We have tried to get William in his own bed a few times and its not working so well... Was it easy to get your daughter in the crib? How did you do it?

i used to sleep with chloe.. i never regretted it, i loved waking to her and i was soo paranoid something would happen to her throughout the night.

@kaityykid Yea I'm the same way... I'm getting better about not freaking out in the middle of the night worrying about whether he is breathing and stuff. lol
