Nice - i dunno maybe its my eyes or the fact that ive just gotten used to it but i prefer <16x but am itching for a fixed 10 for some reason.

Fixed 10x have always been my favorite. I like the mk4 10x models in tmr or mildot reticle and the SWF SS 10x aswell.

I wouldnt say under powered , 3-12 power is plenty up to 1000 yds.I wouldnt hesitate to use it for beyond 1000,the scope has enough elevation adjustment for it.Ive used the same scope to hit steel targets out to 1250 yds couple years ago at a friends ranch.
