the origninal is how this song shold always be

  • [kezkezkezkez ]

Yes! Stupidity is all and creativity means nothing! Life can be so easy if you are humble!

But there's one question left. If you have nothing to say, why do you tell it here?

Pass start, get a live (and a brain - if possible), but don't bother others... Ear Bear (giggle & cheerioooh)

  • This song isn't sang with the power that was intended for it. Its just sung and doesn't show the true feeling that is expressed through the lyrics

  • So happy to own her Tired and Emotional' original vinyl...

It was played tonight...and her voice IS as pure and emotional as the song on it and other albums...

This is...as noted before...just a wonderful version of this song also done to perfection by Etta James...

The ivories tinkling are just wonderful too... [sigh of contentment]

  • It is so good to hear someone do this great song who isnt afraid to add their own phrasing and expression the way they want to do the number.Onya Mary, truly good stuff,John fromAustralia

  • Please stay in your own lane, you have as much talent as you do style. sTOP IT NOW .

  • oh no i thought, what have they done, then i saw her and realised that this this is still soul music, its the attitude and she has it.beautiful rendition.

  • Mary is a class act, can sing just about anything,

  • excellent, she makes the song her own beautiful and irish

  • Beautiful! I only ever saw Mary Coughlan live once in the civic theatre many moons ago and loved her.... It was a Billie Holiday tribute..Fab!

  • @my20twinkletoes: I've listened to it repeatedly 5 times just in case I missed something, that piano guy is playing way too many happy notes, not to mention the bad note in the beginning of the song. I have nothing against her voice, but the performance lacks passion. If she was singing the song to me, I wouldn't be convinced she'd rather go blind... The piano solo around 3:00 is way to spirited and happy, sorry but thanks for your insight! :)

  • Listen & reconsider, Hamza. The woman feels defeated, and she doesn't expect she could win. I think she's way past the phase of 'on the verge of tears' .

  • More emotions, the song is supposed to be very sad, you're a little too happy when you sing it. You should be on the verge of tears from a broken heart.

You didn't convince me that you would Rather Go Blind than to watch me walk away... :(
