So happy to own her Tired and Emotional' original vinyl...
It was played tonight...and her voice IS as pure and emotional as the song on it and other albums...
This is...as noted before...just a wonderful version of this song also done to perfection by Etta James...
The ivories tinkling are just wonderful too... [sigh of contentment]

Beautiful! I only ever saw Mary Coughlan live once in the civic theatre many moons ago and loved her.... It was a Billie Holiday tribute..Fab!

@my20twinkletoes: I've listened to it repeatedly 5 times just in case I missed something, that piano guy is playing way too many happy notes, not to mention the bad note in the beginning of the song. I have nothing against her voice, but the performance lacks passion. If she was singing the song to me, I wouldn't be convinced she'd rather go blind... The piano solo around 3:00 is way to spirited and happy, sorry but thanks for your insight! :)

Listen & reconsider, Hamza. The woman feels defeated, and she doesn't expect she could win. I think she's way past the phase of 'on the verge of tears' .

More emotions, the song is supposed to be very sad, you're a little too happy when you sing it. You should be on the verge of tears from a broken heart.

This song isn't sang with the power that was intended for it. Its just sung and doesn't show the true feeling that is expressed through the lyrics
