The Carolina Film & Video Festival(CFVF) is an independent film festival open to everyone and anyone looking for an audience! The festival takes place once a year at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. CFVF not only strives to give emerging and independent filmmakers their first break -- hopefully a springboard to future success - but also to bring the UNCG and Greensboro communities great films not otherwise available. To meet these goals, our program includes animated, narrative, documentary, and experimental films ranging from 2 minutes to 2 hours in length, and created by student and independent filmmakers from around the globe. In addition to our on-campus screenings and free daytime programs. Also, to demonstrate our commitment to North Carolina filmmakers, CFVF includes a designated North Carolina category.

i planned to go to the festival tommorrow, just as i did past 3 yrs. i looked forward to it every yr. then i checked the schedule for wed & they've got barely an hour of films. Friday might stretch 1.5 hrs but barely. Only 27 films total? in yrs past i could drive from Raleigh and be assured a solid 2 hrs of short films each nite, etc. the website is threadbare and not maintained. the blog hasnt been updated since november. apparently this festival is in decline, which is really sad.
