Your welcbut I have to admit to using my fingers more than the tool, same technique as the tool, but I am forever misplacing my tool!!

since I can't use a whip finishing tool to save my life I've alwais used this method. never had a fly come apart

If you can do this you can use a tool it's exactly the same technique. I agree though, if you can do this it's just as secure.
