M5 is 400hp and until you press the M button then it gives you 500hp so maybe the guy forgot to press the M button here lol...... I have a 335i it is fast but not comparable to the V10 M5 Naturally aspired engine that derived from Formula 1. What chip do you have in the 335i ? Just curious , is is piggy back?

The M5 was mine, and trust me it was in 500HP M mode. The deciding factor in this race is altitude, N/A engines lose up to 17% at JHB altitude, where turbocharged engines have very little in terms of losses. I am not sure of what the 335i was running. What I know is that it had software done and was running trick fuel.

bullshit, i would smoke that 335i..my friend has a 335i whit 427hp and still loses against my stock m5..

you cannot compare a 335i 0-120 in 20 seconds..even whit chip has 17 seconds to 120 whit a stock m5 that has 13,7 to 120

remember that altitude plays a big role against naturally aspirated motors like the M5 up here. We are experiencing lossess of up to 17% due to Johannesburg being at over 1700m from sea level. Turbo cars on the other hand lose very little to no power.

yes thats correct so in that mode, when flooring it there will be allot of power transmitting on the gearbox every upshift

so maybe you could lift the trhottle a bit just before the shift so its smoother when the power goes on

@KamaGurka67492 no its an SMG gear box you dont lift your foot there are 7 settings to that gear box for less or more aggressive shits. it was in M mode which means the gear box was at its most aggressive mode.

verry loud shifts, i think if you do that allot that gearbox wont last to long

maybe it would be better to lift the throttle a little bit before shifting
