  • Does this "vika" attachment come in a set of different nominal sizes?

  • Yes but I don't know where it can be found now. Look at the text aside the video "square hole drilling".

  • What is that tool called and where can I get one??

  • This is a home made tool fully described in the English magazine "Model Engineer" issue N°4285. But it is commercialy available, easy to find on the web.

  • its very simple compare to japan drill bit

  • Why not just cut the hole with a square broach?

  • @HondoTrailside there is already a hole in the workpiece so it has already been bored. he is using an endmill to shape the square out using the edges of the endmill. the endmill isn't stationary, it moves. what else can i say. i do the same thing on a vertical shaper a.k.a. "slotter" would you call that boring or drilling a square?

  • @kenndogg51 An endmill is a type of tool, like you the. The machine here is a lathe, and the tool is fixed not powered.

  • @HondoTrailside it's endmilling dude. now don't reply dumass
