Quality display from Denilson as he kept the midfield ticking for all 120 minutes. Hopefully, now he has shown he is back to full fitness, he will become first choice again and stop the horror shows in midfield like we saw yesterday vs WBA.

He attempted 100 passses and completed 93, giving him a 93% pass accuracy rate. In 120 minutes of football that is a truly phenomenal stat and adds to his recent substitute appearances in which he had similar figures.

@Bazmob33 dude i didnt say no, i said it was tight..both have their merits..yes diaby was terrible on saturday but he has had some tremendous games for us & when he is on it is prob our hardest player to stop.

wilshere doesn't play in wide right position so cant replace eboue..in which case you'd have to push nasri out there & i think everyone knows wilshere aint anywhere near nasri's level right now

@bahriboy No, Diaby is far too passive and doesn't step up when needed. He drifts in and out of games, has regular lapses in concentration and his distribution is not that of Denilson's. He's more physical than Denilson, it's hard to get the ball off him sometimes yes but Diaby's poor decision making costs us. It was a mistake for him to play against West Brom on Saturday. Should have been Wilshere & Denilson instead of Eboue & Diaby. Denilson is a better passer, tackler, etc.

@julianken2008: There was a few times Nasri wasn't switched on to a ball, the passes weren't completed becuase Nasri wants everything to feet even when a defender is all over him and passing it a little to one side of him opens up the attack more. He never reads anything.

@sabret00the Yeah dont understand why he didnt start against West Brom, or even come on as sub. The only times he lost the ball in this video was when he tried one pass too many, or the receiver wasnt switched on. Denilson ftw

@shadz876 Agreed. Song was superb last season, but this year he just hasn't kept up that form. He doesn't look as comfortable on the ball and isn't carrying out his defensive duties efficiently enough. Hopefully, he'll get back to his best though.

If you can read triangles, Denilson is a very good player, if you can't, you're a 'tard. There are still improvements to be made to his game though. Sometimes he needs to be more decisive and more enterprising. Especially in tight spaces.

fantastic ball retention, should be in our first team i feel..tight between him & diaby..he moves the ball better..& has some goal threat (gd shot, free kicks), while diaby can change a game singlehandedly..skill @ 7:10 was sublime..reminded me a bit of riquelme
