How to Create the Smokey Eye - Makeup Tutorial Video from maurices

Angelia, maurices stylist, demonstrates how to create a matte smokey eye and pale lip, one of the newest celebrity trends. Her model is Christine Tjahjadi-Lopez, one of maurices Main Street Model Search winners.

The first brush we use is the packing brush to pack the color onto the lid. Then we have a blending brush and smudge brush. Start out with eye primer. Then, take the darkest color and pack as close to the lash line as possible. Feather the color up onto the lid. Blending is key!

With your blending brush, soften the line and drag it up toward the brow. Then go to the second color, add with your packing brush, and soften with the blending brush. Finish with the lightest color to highlight under the brow line.
