Hail to the Heroes!In Poland we also lost our best soldiers and officers murdered by communists.Romania was allies country before II WW.In 1939-40 the Romanians helped our soldiers and civilians to get further and did not lock the border after Soviet aggression on Poland after 17th September'39.Thank You from Poland!I see Polish crosses on the heroes uniforms!God Bless the Heroes!

They were generals in a country that had been forced into being allied with Nazi Germany. Romania had tried to form two regional alliances with other countries in order to contain Germany but failed because the West refused to provide any help. The West wanted appeasement.

Eventually Romania didn't have a choice, ally or be destroyed. They fought for Romania, not Nazi Germany.

@Djwolfman95 its still not right to kill them. i dont doubt that antonescu thought that he was doing the right thing for romania, but, was he doing the right thing for humanity. take a look at europe now, its a mish mash of different peoples and religions. i live in scotland and dont agree with some of their ways, but, i dont want to see them dead,

I respect Marshall antonescu because he loved his country more than himself...and died for it his last words before the execution were: "Traiasca Romania" (Long live Romania)

@MrJimmyboy1972 he signed the ally pact with the russians because they were invading romania and most of our soldiers i think 2 milions died 1 milion in stalingrad and antonescu was then killed in 1946 for crimes against humanity if i am right but no he fought with the germans because he wanted a great romania and all its lands back bukovina cadrilater basarabia and so on we romanians hate russians so the german pact was the only choice we had
