This documentary is worth of having a "where are they now" segment. Of course you see Anjali Rao on CNN and also comments here on some of those featured.
The most interesting would be David Cockerton, the financial executive. He was 33 when he got interviewed. He must be in his mid to late 40s by now.

I was there a few weeks back. If there is something nice happening there, that would be infrastructure. The skyline got taller and more LED light effects in buildings. HKers are more investing in Mainland China. In fact alot of Mainlanders have moved in. I hear more Mandarin when I was there than Cantonese.

Anjali Rao is slimmer today compared when she did this video.

I am born in Hk with Chinese parents. I don't think the film maker is racist. Just telling the facts of life as it was in HK. And don't even think of calling me a "suck up" or "kiss ass" until you check my comments in "retreat1997" I am strongly against Brit Imperialist!

hahahaha anti foreigner feelings. You can keep making stupid assumptions about what the hell i'm talking about.
love it? how about i hate it when people try to justify and deny what is offensive to other people including myself? I'm racist for trying to point out something that is racist? That's just dumb.
I guess your mum wouldnt be a good example since you like the idea of humiliating her yourself anyway.

edit: Just because you don't experience it yourself doesn't meant it does not exist, you ignorant fuckwit.
Since this documentary was done 12 years ago, its interesting to know where they are now (2010). I know Anjali Rao is still in HK and is news anchor for CNN and Melvis still hangout around Central. Where is Jackie now? How about Mr. Andrew Webb? Are they still in HK? Is Mr. Webb and his Chinese gf still together or have married? How about Mr. Arthur Hacker, the investment banker and Mr. Yin? Also the guy who runs Gaia and Ms. Kathlyn Wood? Hope someone can answer this.

Andrew works for BBC in London - married last year to a girl from China. Britt also lives in London working as a journalist. Arthur is recovering from a stroke in Discovery Bay. Bobsy is successful owner of Life Cafe in Soho. Chris from Sisters organises Underground HK music.

Yes Andrew, very interesting. I wonder if that last guy - HK's answer to Oliver Reed - is still alive?

That old guy is Arthur Hacker - a very well respected artist & historian of HK - He has written many great books & invented the famous 'Lap Sap Chung' of HK. He likes going for a couple of snorts in his local & used to hang out in Wanchai in the 60's but is by no means an Oliver Reed pissface! He always sounds like that. He is alive & in good health still writing books.
