  • screw bug repellent. can we get something that actually kills all bugs on contact?

  • alright people.. from someone who lives and works in the bush northern ontario in prime bug season - 1. DEET is god. use and love it - or hate it and get eaten. Muskol oil is best - OFF! doesnt work as well and wont protect against hords of blackflies. pugzlie was right when they said body odour is an amazing bug repellant - the worse you smell the less likley you will be eaten alive. shampoo's and deoderants will make you a target. to the point - dont wash, and use liberal ammounts of deet.

  • Lack of body odor, or presence of a certain type of odor can make you "invisible" to insects.

If somebody can correct me I would be grateful, but I think proper amounts of vitamin b help.

  • actually body odor is the best insect repellent and it been proven by science

  • I did not say that. He tested one repellent and that worked. To say that repellents work sounds a bit too generalized to me!

  • Mszs, are you saying that deet isn't an insect repellent that works? Whenever I go camping, I always spray deet in different concentrations and they have saved me from getting even more mosquito bites as this guy.

  • To be precise, there is at least one repellent that works. To say, repellents work is incorrect because many do NOT work!

Also, aren't there household recipes that take care of the itching?

  • Nice job....

  • that reminds me of one summer at a cousins' house, when we spent the night on their trampoline. they were fine. I, on the other hand, looked like a plague victim.
