When I was a child, probably about 1970, I saw Rosie Rozell & The Searchers at Burbank Assembly of God Church in Houston, Texas. I was my first experience with Southern Gospel music and I'm still a fan.
There will NEVER be another Rozie! He was my choir director back in the late 70's at Huffman Assembly of God in Bham., AL, and we all loved to hear Rozie sing a special, or his wife Betty, especially when she would sing "I've Got It (Talkin' Bout the Power of the Holy Ghost)"...nobody ever wanted church services to end back in those days...we need a REVIVAL period to sweep this country like that again before Jesus comes...and it won't be long!
I just love old fashioned gospel organ. I'm a young black gospel organist, and there is just something anointed about music made for Lord. God bless em :)
the eaerth is the proper distance from the sun for life which shows God is merciful to life and is good, therefore a good reason to believe in a good God.Jesus dying in the place of sinners on a cruel cross, and all we have to do is put our faith and trust in Jesus as our God and saviour and turn from our sins, to inherit eternal happiness in paradise, also shows Gods love
Rosie was such a incredible tenor singer. He truly had style and sang from the bottom of his soul. Thanx for the memories! I played piano for Rosie and the Searchers back in 1971-1972 era. Thanx again. Sincerely, Chuck Wright
Sandy Payton is a great organist! John Payton is on the far right. They are the inlaws of Jason Waldroup - former tenor for Greater Vision. Great clip. Do you have more?
Wow Dean this video is awesome. I'm trying to get the Willie Nelson & Gaither folks to get me caught up on the Jubilee videos. I'm a late comer to these videos! Hopefully I can get some good vids up eventually from my collection.

AMAZING to see Rosie's talents. Perhaps tone down the percussion and upgraded feedback microphones would have enhanced the performace. Thanks Dean.
