New Mexico State Penitentiary - Julian Tovar

Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Cleveland High School students in the Scholastic Police Academy 2 class took a field trip to study and explore the "old pen" located just south of Santa Fe. This video was made by Julian Tovar.

OMG, boy do I remember when this happened, we were in CA but have heard there are ghost at this prison, so many prisioners died when the riot and fire started, the police officers killing prisoners and visa versa. My nephew was in the National Guard and was telling me he helped out when this happened. May all those who died in this prison RIP. Even the Ghost Buster's were at the old SF prison awhile back, they comfirm there's ghost still present.

@MDollie47 Official sources say 33 inmates died, but others say more than 33 died. Many bodies were chopped apart and burned, leaving them unidentifiable. In the two main riots mentioned in the video, prison guards did injure and kill inmates. The riot that happened in 1980, not one guard killed an inmate. Guards fled since they had no batons or weapons to defend themselves. Just flash lights and keys. Inmates chose not to kill the captured guards but only to torture them. Inmates killed inmates

Wow, great work! The prison is meant to be haunted according to My ghost story! At 6:55 to 7:00 did any1 notice that there were orbs above the students head? It's so amazing what photography sees but not humans until we shot it!
