An orchestral piece I've been sitting on for awhile. Finally decided to finish editing and play it. I originally was going to have passages from the book but I had difficulty thinking of a good way to edit them to fit the music, and it seemed like a disservice to the way the book was written since no single passage fit the music perfectly. So I used the cover illustration from The Riddle, which is my favorite out of the four.
This is supposed to illustrate Maerad in captivity at Arkan-da, and some of her musings and emotions during that time. I did my best to emulate the type of lyre she probably had, which was difficult considering that I had to layer a few instruments and effects to get the sound I achieved. Still not happy, but Garage Band doesn't come with an "ancient lyre" software instrument...!
Illustration (as mentioned) is by Matt Mahurin. Inspired by The Riddle, the second book in the Pellinor series by Alison Croggon. Also the melody I used for Maerad's lyre music is partly taken from the Pellinor website splash page. I own the rest of the music in this video.
This is my first time using iMovie, so I'm still sort of fumbling with it. I'm used to Windows Movie Maker which is (surprisingly) a little less confusing. But I have gotten this far, and I WILL PERSEVERE! :P
BY THE WAY (yes I know this is a super long description) sorry for the low-quality photo of the cover. I was too lazy to try and take a larger one from my copy. Also I didn't think of it till just now. This is really mostly to listen to, anyway, since there aren't any words.
This is great!!!!!!! I love the music! If they ever try to make a movie out of TBOP, you should try to sell the music to the producers :) Thanks for posting!

@MaeradOfPellinor Haha, no I'm sure they can do better than I can, but I will humbly give them the usage of my music if they want it.
