Frequency tests - Lower your volume!!! May demage your hearing!!!
Read/Write HDD arms sound sensitivity
2 very old granny WD HDDs - for X and Y axis
Preparing for DYI laser projector
These when aligned could actually make some nice patterns and shapes-- but need to redo them, great for simple lasershow, where theres no controller for randomizing frequencies and amplitudes..

  • unfortunatelly not.. it has no effect.. without them the head hits the opposite side too fast and jumps which demages the projected shape in certain frequencies.. forget to achieve anything with these, rather buy some cheap galvos off ebay for $100

  • WOW WTF That was sweet!

  • wow, whats the sound quality on these?

  • Ok, i got two HDD's and i have all connected, but.. How do you make the frequencies? If you used PC, how do you amplify the signal? Please answer, i want to make one =/

    Thanks

  • This is so nice :D... Can you show how do u connected all? Thanks

  • Im triying to do the same but I have difficult to drive the head arm, i using a pic to drive a transistor to send the frequency impulse but i don't how invert voltage.

    How you driving this?

    Thanks.

  • シンセサイザーで音を発生させて変調を掛けているのでしょうか‥

  • Nice projector =) am in the middle of making my own but i get nowhere near as much movement as that =\ could i ask what you use as an amplifier and which software you use for the frequencies?

    Cheers

  • i made the same thing ...crazy ...i made a x and y axes tho ....u know of a good cheap way to control them with a program and the hardware ima need...thanks in advanced.....i just have them on a little amp and visualizing the music, but i would love to be able to do images.
