Walter Willison sings "It's A Wonderful Life", the title song from "WONDERFUL LIFE!": The Musical, with lyrics by Walter Willison, music by John Kroner, and book by Douglas Holmes, at presentation for the "Composers Songbook" Concert Series at New York's Donnell Library in 1991. Based on the screenplay for Frank Capra's film classic, "It's a Wonderful Life", the musical was commissioned by Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis, in 1989, where the show played an extended run and became the highest grossing production in that theatre's history. Over the past twenty years, the show has continued to break box office records in annual productions at various regional and dinner theatres around the United States and in Canada. Mr. Willison is a Tony Award nominee and Theatre World Award winner for Richard Rodgers, Martin Charnin & Peter Stone's "TWO BY TWO" and has also starred on Broadway in "GRAND HOTEL," "PIPPIN," "NORMAN, IS THAT YOU?," "WILD AND WONDERFUL," Leonard Bernstein & Stephen Schwartz' "MASS" at The Kennedy Center, "A CHRISTMAS CAROL" at Madison Square Garden, the title role in Robert Wright & George Forrest's "KEAN" Off-Broadway, and has written books for musicals including the revisal of Frank Loesser's "GREENWILLOW": The Musical Folktale [co-author with Douglas Holmes].Accompanying Mr. Willison is composer John Kroner.
