The car ran a 1/4 mile string of bests last year, 9.16, 9.12, 9.08 and another 9.08

It's not a hurst shifter, it's a Long shifter. The car now has a lenco in it, got lots of incar camera videos of that one on here too

The run took under 6 seconds because its at a n 1/8 mile track that I said was closer than all the 1/4 mile tracks,

@wepner .. Can you give some insight on how the operation of the clutch/ tranny/ shifting operation works. Check my comment below on granny shifting. Obviously this configuration is much more advanced and works differently than a stock clutch and tranny set-up. Turning 9's in the1/4 is fast and I am assuming there is no need to "bang" the gears with that set-up. ... Got any pics of the car here on youtube?

@Bzimmer21 .. I'm surprised!! cause that's what we called granny shifting back in my day. I snap a Hurst clean off the tranny one time I am not familiar with that type shifting set up but you can see he is not using the clutch when shifting. Probably why he is not "banging" the gears and am sure it has something to do with the tranny/shifter set up.With a standard clutch and tranny you shift way harder than that when going thru the gears.

I said WE used a clutch with no rev limiter. I didn't say they didn't make rev limiters. Just to clarify.
