Its scary how Christians can justify any terrible thing in the name of God, its so easy its scary ..
(a Christian leader so much as have a hunch that a town is "sinful", who is to know if he's right, who's to stop him from summoning his followers to go on a rampage of destruction)
..
You see, the preaching of peace stops as soon as the preaching of "honour violence" begins, and Christian violence can be both physical or legal (the votings to impose their beliefs on non-believers)
.. the building is not evil, and pple have emotional attachments to physical strutures too ya know .. there are good memories of her bringing up her kids there.
Sometimes I see a person's house destroyed in a tornado or a flood, I see them crying at the destroyed homes - pls they're not missing the sinful moments like u say, so unfeeling of you to be thinking that way - they r missing a physical place they grew attached to..
@88feji The sacred texts are meant to be studied, not just read like a novel.
Why would Lot's wife turn back to look at Sodom? Why would she have any liking for such a wicked city? Her daughters didn't look back, so why would she?
Lot's wife was wicked, and when she looked back, she was proving that she'd never overcome her wickedness.
Lot's wife was asking for it. She was a lousy excuse for a person. But I think Lot is at fault for marrying her in the first place.
She wasn't turned to salt just for looking back. She was turned to a pillar of Salt for mistreating the guests.
When the angels came to see Lot, she served them food, and it was customary to sprinkle salt on the food as a sign of respect. But she was a Sodomite; she put so much salt on the food that they couldn't eat it.
Halleluja m8. The new earth will be awesom, made from 12 different kind of valuable stones, that will shine all colors of rainbow. And all fruits of Spirit Halleluja!.

Oh, the Midrash -- in another words what u said cannot be found in the bible itself ?
I don't really agree to filling gaps of logic with fabricated stories .. sorry ..

@88feji It's in the Midrash, along with the story about Abraham destroying his father's idols.

mm..
sorry but which section of the bible says Lot's wife served salty food to the angels ?
( Can I say that you only agree to Lot's wife's tragic end because it did not happen to you or your loved ones ? )
