My ex mother in law was from new jersey and I'm from chi town southside I asked that man to speak to his mama he didn't so she got told and we been friends every since. He is an ex and his mama is my close friend lol

I have somewhat been there. My soon to be hubby, his mother and I did not get a long at all. Once she excepted that I am going to be his wife and the women in his life everything got better. She had a hard time letting him go. I learned to not say anything disrespectful about his mother but expressed to him I felt like I was not being treated the same. It took a year for him to finally stand up to her about how she was treating me. Was worth the wait too.

It all depends on the type of hubby u have. In my case, my hubby handles his Mama. With l-o-v-e, but nevertheless, he handles it. However, there have been a few times that I have had to speak on my own damn behalf. The best answer is, every woman ( woman being operative word) knows how to handle themselves in these situations.

i wouldnt be disrespectful to my in-law . i would try to be understanding that she just loves her son (my husband). i wouldnt let her tlk to me any kind of way but i wouldnt get smart mouthed. what goes around comes around.
