2012 Audi A3 TDI vs KIA Forte SX Mashup Review

I own a Forte SX Hatch with the tech package and all. After haggling a bit and combined with some rebates that Kia was offering we got it for 19,800. For the money you really can't beat it. For those complaining there's plastic on the dash, seriously? its not a luxury car, its an affordable compact. I mean do you honestly drive around feeling the dashboard?

@apalsenberg neither of these makers are US based and the kia is substantially cheaper. you're not going to get a leather stitched dash in a vehicle for under 25k and honestly why does it matter what it's made of, it's the dashboard..

@Choncer Nope, you're wrong. The 2.0 in the Forte is 156HP, yours is 138. Mine has the 2.4 with 173HP. Different engines. Not the same interior either. Mine has every option on the list. Mine has the sunroof as well as navigation, smart key, leather, auto ac, etc. Beyond that, everything has gone up in price. Even the Civic costs a lot more than what it used to for the same model

@techdude6693 What cracks me up is that i have a Spectra5 SX which is the same car before kia chose to change the names up. Same engine, same interior appointing and mine has every add-on except the sun roof and 6-disc player. Mine was 15k off the lot, so i'm curious how kia managed to find $4800 worth of changes in a car that only got a body redesign and new name.

The Forte is loud, feels cheap inside in every corner, rattles at speed. The engine apparently doesn't like to rev and car shakes when pressed hard. After sitting in one, both me and my parents didn't liked it

The Audi A3 is amazing in every aspect. The interior is beautifully done with quality materials around. The Exterior with the LEDs makes it recognizable. The diesel engine is a gem, just tap the throttle and it flies at the lights. Feels planted and solid no matter what you do.

@76Brancaleone Anyone would take the Audi anytime anyday but the baseprice of the Audi A3 alone is more than the fully loaded Kia, these days, if someone had to pay, I'd rather buy the Kia.
