Does Romanism (Roman Catholic Religious Salvation System) Preach Another Gospel? Debate 1

Larry Wessels, Director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas (YouTube channel: CANSWERSTV; see websites: BIBLEQUERY ORG, HISTORYCART COM & MUSLIMHOPE COM) debates Roman Catholic scholar Dr. Robert Fastiggi of Saint Edward's University located in Austin, Texas on the question of whether the Roman Catholic Church preaches the same Gospel as the Bible does or does it preach a man-made counterfeit. The apostle Paul gave a tremendous warning and threat in Galatians 1: 6-9 concerning the importance of preaching the correct Gospel because the consequence for preaching a false Gospel is eternal damnation for the preacher and his followers ("I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."). This is part 1 of a fast-paced and fiery 2 part debate (also known as the "Reformation Debate"). The differences between the two debaters in this theological war could not be greater. One can then understand why the great Reformer Martin Luther in church history had said, "Previously I said the Pope was the Vicar of Christ. I recant. Now I say the Pope is the adversary of Christ and the apostle of the Devil". Virtually all of the historic confessions of faith of the major Protestant denominations hold that the Pope is the very Anti-Christ mentioned in 2 Thessolonians 2:3-12. @norseczar27 Mormonism is a false religion that had it's beginnings with Sidney Rigdon & Alexander Campbell (see our Youtube video, "RISE OF THE CULTS: WHERE DID ALL THESE STRANGE AMERICAN RELIGIOUS SECTS COME FROM?") back in the 1820s. Rigdon, after learning from Campbell, got with jailbird Joseph Smith, to invent a religion that could get them money, sex & power (the same reasons most false religions are invented with Muhammad of Islam as a prime example). @lovingyourheart4ever When I said "all" i ment for the practice of confessing sins and the bible says none are righteous.(Rom.3:10) but the prayeers of a righteous man availeth much(james5:16) Luke1 tells us Zachariah and Elizabeth were righteous. In Rom.3:20 Paul is quoting from Psalm14 for he said"IT IS WRITTEN" The psalm talk about how their is no one that does good but then it starts talkin about the righteous. the ones who did no good were the unbelivers. Paul is saying the same thing.

@dis00612 ...Mary was free of sin but needed God to save her?...I don't get it...we all fell into the pit but Mary did not...this confuses me even more....do you mean that roman 3 says all have fallen short but Mary?...in Leviticus, all practices still apply today accept animal sacrifice...what about circumcision?...what I meant was is it only priests that have the authority to forgive sin?

It's obvious from your comments to "lovingourheart4ever" that you've not kept your word on that yet. @lovingyourheart4ever Mary needed a savior for without God her savior she wouldnt have been able to be free of sin. We fell into the pit of sin and God our savior took us out but Mary did not fall into the pt instead God her savior saved her before she could fall into the pit. In Leviticus the whole practice was not taken out but the practice of animal sacrifice. I dont know what you mean about the priest only statement.

@dis00612 ..you haven't explained why did Mary need a saviour if she was sinless...Leviticus was written at the times before Christ...but when Christ died he wiped out all of the sins of the believers...and only upon the proclamation of our faith in Christ we would be set free...a priest can certainly forgive sins on the same proclamation but that does not mean that the right is exclusively given to priest only
