How to use INVedit on a Mac: A Tutorial

Written instructions:
1. Download and unzip the INVedit folder
2. Download and install Mono (if you need help, there are many tutorials on how to install Mono)
3. Open Terminal
4. Type 'cd desktop' and press Enter
5. Type 'ls' and press Enter
6. Type 'cd INVedit' (or whatever you called that folder) and press Enter
7. Type 'mono invedit.exe' and press Enter
7 1/2. Make sure the Minecraft inventory you are trying to edit is empty
8. Create a new inventory in INVedit
9. Add whatever items you like
10. Click the floppy disk icon
11. Click the 'Personal' tab
12. Double-click 'Library'
13. Double-click 'Application Support'
14. Double-click 'minecraft'
15. Double-click 'saves'
16. Double-click 'World(whatever number it is you're editing)'
17. Click 'level.dat' and then 'Open'
18. Open Minecraft and enjoy!

but how do i put modded items example i have a mod that ads a new sword or new block how do i give myself that? for me it just shows numbers and liek circles not the actual thing :\

@supergamecubedude that's best done with the TooManyItems client mod. look up how to install it, i'm sure there's tons of videos.
