Luxeon Sidious

My one-of-a-kind Luxeon Sidious.

It started as a hollow hilt I picked up second hand. I'm not sure of the maker, but they pop up on ebay occasionally. If you want one and see one on ebay, make sure it's HOLLOW. I didn't have to mod it to make it hold the blade or be hollow.

It's running a Lux III Red direct drive on a single CR123. That was the best of few options due to the limited space. As I get machine capability in the future I'll make more space with custom parts. I use a single wrap of corbin's film in the blade. I'll be experimenting with a quad wrap soon.

Dang... I needed to shave and get a haircut when I took that vid.

add sound, shine it up and brighten the blade and it will be the coolest ive seen!!!!

"Shining" it up would just be a paint job. I may do that when it wears. I've always liked the black one better. I did redo the blade later in another video.

Sound I've said no on. Right now I don't want to alter it that much. Maybe later when I can get the right board.

Yup, it was hollow. It's a mix of resin and machined brass.

I found the original maker and there were only 20 made. I've met three owners and saw one go on ebay before I knew how rare they were. Chances are that you'll be lucky to find one much less get one on sale.

I also looked at getting more made. Way beyond what I could invest the time in.

I really don't have that many. Most are actually in parts now as I need time to redo them. Otherwise they stay on display until they come up in convos and we spend an hour or so bashing them around.

Probably never. I did go for a different lighting setup after this but I consider sound too invasive of an install. It could be done, but I don't want to alter the hilt that much.

What in your opinion is the brightest luxeon avilable? I would like to buy one but I want it to shine brightly even during a day. And as I see You have some experience in that matter :D
