I always thought this was funny because hardly anyone in Japan actually uses a Mac. Windows 7 on the other hand sold out within 36 hours of being released there.

I've got a mac and have been cursing at my computer for hours because tons of programs don't work on it and I have to find every backdoor possible just to run simple programs. "everything works on a mac" my ass.

@shankedbyfrank555 by PC's u mean windows right? And if that's the case and it's your job I guess the extra $1000 - 3000 you pay is probably negligible. It would be nice to be able to install OSX on your own computer without having to buy a mac through apple, but then apple can't sell overpriced computers.

When viewing work wouldn't the representation systems be the same and effected by the browser and the monitor rather than the OS?

@daymyth My work often overlaps into graphic design. I prefer to work with a mac but I get sent all sorts of files from clients that are only compatible with PCs. It's also useful to be able to preview graphic design work/web pages on both systems.

@ChuckWowDaily It isn't, it's a trap. If you notice very few games and applications actually run on a Mac or have Mac versions. If you want to get anything more done you pretty much have to get windows or learn to comile code. But as the future moves toward everything being browser based applications, your OS won't matter anymore, maybe...
