there's an irish group dance, an 8-hand called 'the three tunes' and it's a combination of a jig, hornpipe and reel (specifically, haste to the wedding, leslie's hornpipe, and the german beau reel). the dance can only be done to that specific music and they come in a certain order. I actually came here looking to hear those "three tunes" but this is great as well :) @shadyfolkie was this what you were referring to as well?

@monthlybath Musicians who perform dance tunes on stage often run threee tunes together. I think it's because dancing takes a lot of energy so dance tunes have to be short, whereas on stage each piece has to last at least three minutes. However, I just make videos. You'd really have a musician.
