Just my take: if a person has little to no theory behind them, this would be ideal for making jazz progressions by way of "hunt and peck". On the flip side, if a person has a lifetime of theoretical chord knowledge, an instrument like this could be extremely challenging. Again, just my take.

Looks fantastic - very clever system! Now we just need to see you making use of some of those novel chord layouts to play some more music *on* the monome ;)
Btw, I don't know why you need to apologise for your voice - it's quite pleasant to listen to actually!
