As a conservative, I believe that education should be controlled by parents at the local level not by Wash, DC. School districts always want smaller class sizes, more pay and a new $mil school every 5 years. Im not anti-teacher, but I believe that teachers should not receive a govt. pension, but plan their own retirement through 401 and IRAs like everyone else. They should also take a competancy exam every year and receive performance reviews. Sch dist. need to be held more accountable
