This is part six of John Lennon's absolute last interview ever with RKO Radio. This was recorded in Studio One at The Dakota on the very day of his death just hours before he was murdered. View the rest of my videos for the rest of this interview in its entirety.

  • Is this a picture of their office in the Dakota?

  • Please don't punch me for saying this, but I think that Yoko is and was a good lady. She made John happy and they loved each other very deeply. She gave him Sean, which was a huge changing and blessing thing to him. At any rate, I like hearing her input in this interview. Sorry to those that don't like her; no offense intended! hehe

  • I think he also got a lot of peace and closure in the late 90s after seeing a white feather. He was doing a documentary on the indigenous peoples of Australia and he saw a white feather and got very emotional. The story behind that is John told him that, if something should happen to him (like if he were to die or whatever), he should look for a white feather. He said the white feather would show him that he was still around and looking after him and protecting him.

  • @RAPisntMUSIC111 Eventually there likely would have been some wacko that would have tried to do John in. He, in my opinion, because of his fame and notoriety (and possibly past run-in's with the Government) was just an easy(er) target and therefore was not long for this world. The brightest stars in the heavens always seem to burn out earlier...

  • @NeilFraudstrong Cool! Something I'd never known. Thanks for the info bud. :)

  • @tall32guy

Chapman did not call out John's name before he shot him. This is a frequently misreported fact. It was mentioned by a detective in an interview, but Chapman, Jose Perdomo, Yoko Ono, and the court proceedings do not say that he said anything to John at the time of the shooting. The only thing that Chapman said immediately after was, when asked by Perdomo if he knew what he had just done, he said, "Yes, I just shot John Lennon."

  • @empireuniverse He might have. But he probably also would have not known when or where it was going to happen, so he would have been on the lookout but how could he have known that someone coming up to him saying "Mr Lennon!" like Chapman did, was going to shoot him the instant he turned around? It was John's time to go and so I believe not much would have prevented it. If it hadn't happened then, it would have happened eventually.

  • its so simple , family leave , leave wife and child its so simply !!!verity ..?

  • I do not like yoko ono !!!!!!!!!

  • I have that exact desk John is using. I'm guessing they produced them in the late 70's early 80's. The desk has been in my office for 20 years and before that a bankrupt travel agency had owned it.

If someone has a color pic, I will bet the legs are silver, the base of the desk is beige and the top is a light brown color. Does anyone want to make me an offer? :)

  • "Just a daddy." AAAAmazing.
