My hair is very thick, & past my waist, been growing it for 5+ years now..... a few simple rules to follow... never brush when it is wet - comb only.... wash only the scalp area, the length gets cleaned when it all gets rinsed out, no rubber bands or metal tipped elastics.....

@tgmarla If not for occasional trims my hair would be well past my waist, maybe even the halfway point of my upper leg. I almost never brush it and almost never use a hairdryer. The only real reason for a trim is less tangling and just making it look neater. I can have 2 or 3 inches trimmed off and nobody notices.

Hey Gillian:

I used to have hair like you, but every summer it became a problem. Whenever I went for a long motorcycle trip, no matter what I did, it always ended up in a mass of wind blown knots.

I do regret cutting it off though... every time I pull on a wig ☺

I used to have my own long hair, you can see in my younger videos, but it was dyed black and went through a lt to keep it straightened. I am growing my hair again now, but I think it is great yo ukeep yours in as good as the condition you do.
