OK first of all, it starts at $500 and #2 its worth it! It's 5 years ahead of any other phone and the dialing system is so much easier+smarter & its an iPod and the actual internet w/o flash player YET, and its got the YouTube feature! I can literally watch Kevjumba or Smosh on the iPhone in full screen. And if they wanted to make changes to it they could, you know why? Because its a giant screen!! that can be modified with updates and its got google maps etc...Cant do that on a Blackberry ; ]
As beautiful of a device as it may be (like all of Apple's products) its not as user friendly as intended. Simply, SIMPLIFIED for dummies. But lacks the features most people purchase wireless handsets for.
The camera is terrible, the video recording sucks, the pages load way too slow, the screen gets filthy very easily, the phone breaks after one single drop to the floor.. and so much more. Wait for the next model!
(Continued..) (compared to the pocket PC and all new AT&T phone with faster-than-DSL speeds on 3G [blackjack!!]), and worst of all, the keyboard is impossible for people with big fingers! Hitting multiple buttons and confusing the phone into typing things you never intended. The blackjack, even with small keys is easier to use than the iPhone's touch screen "smart" keyboard.
(Continued..) (it works on a "popular video" basis where YouTube takes the most viewed and
adds it to the iPhone YouTube server), it does not do voice dialing (The 8525 supports VoiceDial, used by Sprint, which recognizes names and telephone numbers with little effort), it is NOT a 3G phone, it simply runs on EDGE which is painfully slow
(Continued..) Same commands and similar software, even the multitouch contacts with finger "flick" scrolling, etc. The iPhone has a very difficult time customizing ringtones. It also cannot bluetooth anything to any other handset or back. It cannot expand its own memory, it cannot sync with most programs it was guaranteed to sync with, it cannot support all types of streaming video, the YouTube program itself is made for iPhone, so 80% of the content from YouTube is missing
I agree with this. I have seen, touched, used, and attempted many things with the iPhone. Sadly, it does not match up to most of the handsets available from AT&T... (AND I WORK FOR THEM!). The Cingular 8525 Pocket PC can be modded to look identical to the iPhone, interface and all.
