  • @RegulatorRacing ya hit the nail right on the head with that one.. hahaha

  • thats sad. that chevy should've got shit on.... dodge blows

  • 4 bolt mains, chevy, just two extra bolts, really doesnt do shit!!!!! Why all the main cap bolts and tiny little rod cap nuts???

  • @SirKowalski666 Ohhh... they have 5 main caps. I thought somebody said "5 bolt mains." I understand now.

  • @SirKowalski666 Ohhh... 5 main caps. I thought somebody said "5 bolt mains." I understand now.

  • @SirKowalski666 Oh shit man; haha ive misunderstood you. I thought you were saying 5 main bearing bolts/studs instead of the traditional 4 bolt or recently six bolt mains. No i see that you mean 5 actual mains with 4 bolts apiece. Haha shit sorry for wasting your time!

  • @mike4x4chevy48 It goes like this: block, First main, then cylinders 1 and 8, 2nd main, then cylinders 2 and 7, 3rd main, then cylinders 3 and 6, 4th main, then cylinders 4 and 5, 5th main, other side of block.

  • @SirKowalski666 Oh okay sweet. I cant seem to find any pictures on google images. Id love to see how those main caps and the bottom of the block look to see where the 5th bolt goes.

  • @mike4x4chevy48 It's just a bit of a different layout, the mains are spaced evenly and closer together. i'm putting together a mopar big block that has 5 mains right now actually.

  • @rippmd2010 It's just a different engine layout...i'm putting together a mopar big block right now that has 5 mains. It's not even a 440 or hemi either, its a 400, same family as the 383, they're both "B" motors.
