according to whom? In every book I ever read about dachshunds, one of the first things noted is their intelligence.

We have to minis. One will stand on the foot pedal to the trashcan, stretch up and toss garbage out to her sister to devour....I'll find one running around on the table in the early morning hours. They are loveable, fun nuts!!

@bazzamataz72 Any time! :-D BTW, my weenie dogs have moved beyond knocking over trash cans...they have now learned to hide my shoes AND my car keys. Very clever indeed!

We just got a Mini Dachshund 2 weeks ago and he never barks! He is good - smart- can sit already and is almost completely house trained. I love this breed! Thanks for sharing

Oh MY god i have a miniture dachshund and she does exactly the same thing bark at evreything she see's :L Bless her but shes soo loving like at night she sleeps in the bed with me :L haha why am i tell you this? but does your dog do that too .. imean thats if you let it?
