btw have you ever tried dto do pushups with straight wrists on dumbbells or a barbell? it worked for me because that way, you don't have that hyper extension in your wrists.
@timrocket007: what am I missing here?... you're comparing two completely different exercises o0 pullups won't help you improve your performance doing pushups.
i used to be able to do 50 pushups but then my wrists started to hurt so i stopped doing pushups and now i do pullups, i can do about 4-5 but now i can only do about 20 pushups now :S

Try doing push ups by using your wrists instead of an open hand, it will help a lot(atleast it did here)
