@Elmware And lose the napkin at the end of the plate holder. The more solid the plate is, the more success you'll have.

If you want better success at this, take the newspaper out from underneith it, and also use a solid table top. Believe me, it will make a difference. The holder plate keeps if from making a mess on the table in the first place. If you're still concerned about making a mess on the table, get some kind of flat tablet to work on. You'll have way less images not picking up onthe stamp that way.
