Remarks by Edsel Ford, at the largest Ford Model T Party celebrating 100 years held in Richmond, IN. with Mark Fields and more. See the entire exclusive event with over 900 Model T's at http://www.autonetwork.com.
Model Ts are AWESOME!!! Jay Leno has a 1925 Model T Roadster with the Ruckstell 2 speed rear axle that he drives to work frequently and he just LOVES it!!! Edsel Ford II, You are one TERRIFIC guy!!! You are so right on target about Model T's being a part of their owners's families and given names Like "Lizzie", "Bessie" Etc, My Step-Grandfather on my Mom's side learned to drive in and got his license in 1926 in a 1920 Model T Touring Car that his family owned, He drove it throughout high school
I believe that Edsel Ford II summed up beautifully the "spiritual" connection people have who have a deep love and interest in the history of the Company and the products they offered. This is what is so special about the Ford Motor Company; in that it seems to have a bond or connection to those who have a deep devotion to the history of the main people of Ford and its products. I applaud you Mr. Ford because you get it!
Its important to look back at history to learn about the good and bad before moving forward. Let's not reinvent the wheel and also not repeat the past mistakes (lessons learned),
Thank You so very much for posting this video! I was not able to go to Richmond. My Ford is a '24. I'll bet it was wonderful to have Edsel "Watch the Fords Go By"
Model T's are quaint however, my dream ride would be a Shelby Cobra with a 460 Engine along with a Mustang upgrade....zoom, zoom, etc. If you are tired of $4 fuel, drive a bike; motor or motorless to work. Drive your ride on the weekends. If you are Uber Rich, do what you want to do. ajf
Mustang Sally, she gonna ride sally ride,,,,er Shelby Cobra Mustang, whoeee! that's the ride. Tired of $4 gas, ride a bike to work motor or motorless. Drive your ride on Weekends....thirsty for higher octane, ajf
