good points, however you should know that christianity is not a book religion, the book did not constitute the church, the early christian church constituted the book only in the 4th century, consisting of letters etc. that have originally not been regarded as scripture.

And also there is no real limitation, of course it is allowed to read "other" books and by doing so find out more about his own faith.

Then again, I'm not a protestant or American, therefore think I do judge things differently.
