Ode to the captive parrot.

The song is 'You Can't Take Me' by Bryan Adams. I thought it was fitting.

This is an editted version of the earlier one I had up on youtube.

  • speechless. I am speechless about how terribly heartless some people can be. To stop feather plucking all you have to do is care not put a coller on your bird. Shame, shame, shame on the owners of those and any other abused birds, cats, dogs, anything. shame.

  • Thanks for your comments everyone. To help, please work on EDUCATING others about the proper care of parrots. That is the number one thing we can do to stop this from happening! Also consider donating to a legit bird sanctuary.

  • me(a bird lover, owner of a parrot)is heart-broken to see these parrots in pain and in death it nearly really dam.n breaks my heart

  • Thanks everyone for your kind comments. It breaks my heart too- which is why I put it out there. We need to educate people on the proper care of these birds to prevent stuff like this from happening

  • Very tastefully done about a gruesome subject. Excellent. People should be made to watch this video if they ever consider getting a parrot.

  • yeah, well the more powerful species dictates the rules of the game.

  • The perfect song for this! <3

  • Parrots were meant to be flying free in the wild, not stuck in a cage in someone's living room. People, don't breed, don't buy, ADOPT! Educate others about proper parrot care and how endangered they are in the wild...and take good care of your own birds! Donate to sanctuaries and funds! Protect their natural habitats! Not all birds in rescues are awful birds...that's just what breeders and sellers make you think! Most are sweet and loving birds! Please, help these beautiful creatures.

  • if thw=ere is something i can do anything!i wish to know to save as many of these birds as i can

  • Very well done!

  • After watching the other Foster Parrots vid & this one makes me cry some more and reafirms my dedication to the education of humans about the care it takes to be owned by a parrot PLEASE ADOPT We have to stop the illeagle parrot trade, the smuggling of wild parrots is un necessairy there are many legitimate breeders of ALL parrots in the states Donate money to parrot organizations there are a lot of them out here and we who take in rescue birds could use a hand ADOPT if you HAVE to have a parrot

  • I am very sorry for them.I wish all the parrots can be as healty, loved, feed, and free as mine.
