Troy: I've been playing guitar for 35 years. I saw some of your lessons and tuned one of my acoustics's to open G, in hopes of learning some Dobro-style techniques. My brass (or glass) slide just doesn't cut it, it bangs on the fretboard when I do hammer-on's and pull offs. Would a real Dobro slide make a difference, or am I jerking off in the end ? Can't afford to invest in a Dobro right now......

You're welcome. Yeah, probably around 99% of my lessons are in GBDGBd tuning and maybe 1% are in Open D (DADF#Ad) 654321.
