@TheModCon the character and texture of the distortion comes from the amp + speakers; the guitar just shapes it. you can get a completely different kind of distortion from this just by changing the amp setup. i agree about the distortion sound on this clip, but i think it has to do with the amp settings. ever listened to frank zappa? he played a gibson SG on a lot of his stuff; COMPLETELY different kind of tone and i think he had great distortion sound.

@keeelane Lol yes it does. The distortion has a huge effect, but there are subtle changes in the tone depending on what guitar you have.

Amazing cover! Don't like the guitar tone at all though. Was never a huge fan of the SG really, clean is alright. But distorted is horrible :O
