Windsurfing Ready for Liftoff - Red Bull Rockets

A massive turnout of windsurf lovers attended the 'Red Bull Rockets' competition, held at the coast of the beautiful sea village of Santa Lucía.

An electronic meter -- equipped with innovative technology that follows and reproduces the movement in 3D and in real time , calculated the height of each jump executed by the participants, whom during the whole competition had it placed in one of their arms. This new technique allows for more accurate scoring of riders and helped register the hight of the jumps objectively.

I feel like wind surfing tricks have an established, "fuck-it" factor. Where the surfer just bombs the wave hard, gets SICK air, and when he wants to trick, just says, "Fuck it" and let's the wind whip him around like a shark out of water until gravity pulls them back to the water.
