4k G+ with ultimation... so awesome, but monthly electric bill for this beast is enormous right? thats why i prefer VCA automation.

The automization program remembers whatever adjustments you've made to the channel faders by hand at certain parts of the song. Correct?

Well, this was the 90s I guess... that would mean protools 888s. Or Prism...
Sphere wasn't even built then.
Each edit has a cost. The time. Sphere ain't cheap. You wouldn't catch me in there fiddling around with faders and pushing them around 0.5dbs per take LOL.
But then again... I'm from a different school.
4 to 5 mics for the whole band. The mixing is done in the air, it's more high resolution there. Billions of molecules.
