  • @sumbillie True and Slap double bass is still used extensively in Rock a Billy but it sounds completely different. The slap technique with the double bass is used to get a popping sound when the string hits the finger board. It originated in the 20's.

  • would'nt want to take any thing away from larry since i have the max respect and love for his music but i must add a simular tecnic was used on double bass a long time before larrys
