You're in for a real treat with this clip. The date was June 5, 1982 at the Leilani Lanes in Seattle. Bob "Hookin" Handley was coming off a 265-245 victory over Jeff Bellinger. Tommy Hudson, who qualified 1st, needed a victory to earn his 10th PBA title, and thus earn a spot in the Hall of Fame. This was a fantastic match that went down to the very last ball, with Hudson prevailing 247-238 to capture his 10th title, which happened to be the last of his career, and the $12,000 first prize. I hope you enjoy the clip.

  • Great match -- I only wish there were more Bob Handley videos. I loved the way he put everything into the ball every shot.

  • @bacharles1 Hookin' Bob Handley was the best!

  • tommy is the best person i know, he has brought me for a 135 average bowler to a 195 in just over a year (only bowling summers)

  • I bought a ball from him too!

  • i bought a ball from him wooo woodside naples fl

  • You must live in Naples FL. I had Tommy drill me a ball last winter while I was down there on vacation.

  • I still have a Tommy Hudson LT-48 ball I got back in 1980. Still does a pretty good job even on todays lanes.

  • i get lessons from tommy :D

  • well ive been there

my dad worked there for a really long time i spent a lot of time there at leilani lanes until it was closed and torn down

  • Once again Tommy Hudson does the sign of the cross and got the winning strike. I wonder if Bob Handley would have done the sign of the cross what would have happened?
