what qualifies a grand final to expand to best 6/11 instead of 3/5?

One contestant comes from the Winner's Bracket (In this case Ken), and one comes from the Loser's Bracket (PC). The person from the Winner's Bracket only has to win one set in order to be the winner where as the person from the Loser's Bracket has to win both sets. If Ken had won the first set then it would have ended there, but he didn't therefore it went on to two sets.
